Breeding Season is over for another year

All the rams went back to their respective pens, and all the ewes were put into the lambing pasture. So our lambing season will run from Mar.31 - May11. I might put 22X in with all the ewes in January just in case our young boys didn't settle all of their girls. Jackson (Black ram lamb) didn't seem to be interested in girls at all, and poor Eli was nursing a sore eye for 4 of the 6 weeks of breeding. These are pictures of Trooper fighting his way back into the "big boy" pen.
First the April ram lambs gather around
Then the bigger boys move in
Sammy appeared to say Welcome back Ol' Boy
Then the shoving starts
Squaring off
Takin a run at Dad. Captn Morgan was relentless, but in the end Trooper set him straight!
